We visited the place in January this year. It was cloudy and drizzly that day but the temperature was just right at about 20°C. It was nice to have the persistent Christchurch fan turned off.
There weren't many people on the beach that day, but Orewa, an idyllic town packed with many little interesting shops, was busy.
